Privacy policy

Last updated October 27, 2026

Love Letter Card is run by [your legal name or company, and address] (“we”). This policy explains what we store when you make a page and what we do with it. Questions go to [email protected].

What we store

  • What you put on a page: names, dates, your story, your letter, photos you upload, song links and any other text. We store it so the page can be shown to people who have its link.
  • Chat insights: a WhatsApp chat export is read inside your browser. Only the totals are saved (message counts, your busiest day and hour, top words and emojis), never the messages.
  • Edit links and passwords: stored scrambled (hashed), never as plain text.
  • In your browser: your draft and the edit links for your pages are kept in your browser's local storage so you can come back to them. We don't use cookies or ads.
  • Visit counts: we use Simple Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they open. It doesn't use cookies or collect personal data such as your IP address, but it does record the address of each page visited, including a love page's link.
  • Server logs: [your hosting provider] may keep standard request logs, such as IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running.

Who can see your page

Anyone with the link. Pages aren't listed anywhere on Love Letter Card and we ask search engines not to index them. You can add a password too. Photos are served from long, hard-to-guess links, but those links aren't behind the page's password.

How long we keep it

Until you delete the page. Deleting it in the editor removes the page right away. Photos you uploaded aren't removed automatically yet: email us and we'll delete them.

Your choices

You can change or delete your page at any time. To ask what we hold about you, or to have something removed, email [email protected]. [Add the rights that apply where your visitors live, e.g. under GDPR or the CCPA].

Children

Love Letter Card isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly store their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. See also our terms.
